Taming the Truculent Troll www.tvrna.com TVR is a low volume British sports car. Road & Track magazine once called the TVR "a truculent Troll, a ferret with an oversupply of Y chromosomes". That's a pretty good description of a TVR. This web site is primarily about TVRs in North America. TVRs have been available in this continent intermittently since Ray Saidel imported some chassis for racing in 1955. The last importer was John Wadman of Ontario, Canada. The TVR Car Club North America is the Club for TVR, Griffith and Jomar owners in North America. The club publishes a news letter, "The TVR Times" about six times a year. "The TVR Times" includes technical tips, information about car shows, cars for sale, where to get parts and any other TVR information of interest. For a schedule of TVR related events, see the TVRCCNA web site. The Griffith Club covers the 1960s Griffith, a V8 engined sports car derived from the TVR. TVRNA.com Webmaster Passed Away TVRNA.com webmaster Charles "Charlie" Colbert, died on Saturday, March 6th 2010 at 12:36am at the Penn Medicine at Rittenhouse Hospice. He died of complications from a rare disease called Wegener's Granulomatosis. Charlie was a 55-year old computer programmer with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken, NJ. He worked most of his career in the telecommunications industry. Besides the TVR Car Club North America, he was an avid historical re-enactor, a science fiction fan, and a gun collector. As per his wishes, there was no funeral. He is survived by a truly cherished white and black 1974 TVR 2500M and a closet full of spare parts. Car and parts ask that, in lieu of flowers or cards, donations be sent to the TVRCCNA or your favorite charity. The TVR Car Club of North America rescued and relaunched Charlie's website in his memory on 22 February 2013. Peter Wheeler passed away Peter Wheeler passed away Thursday at age 64.
